Coronavirus-19; Cecil County Courts; Bail Reviews

Posted by Thomas Brown | Apr 02, 2020 | 0 Comments

The COVID-19 virus has impacted the judicial system resulting in case postponements and rescheduling trials scheduled through April, and many questions regarding bail and incarcerated inmates.

As of today, courts are closed to the public and only available for limited issues.  This changes almost daily, and information may be obtained from the Maryland Judiciary website.  In Cecil County, bail reviews for newly arrested defendants are being held daily.  If a family member or friend has been arrested and you need assistance with a bail review, we are available.  If you already retained an attorney, WE CAN NOT HELP.

For our current clients, all court appearances through April are postponed and new dates will be assigned.

We understand and share the frustration with the "Held Without Bail" issue and case postponements.  Please contact Cecil County Criminal Defense Lawyers Tina Harris at 410-620-9044 or Tom Brown at 410-398-3850 or through this site to discuss your situation, and we will promptly respond.  Stay safe and well.
