Felony Heroin Drug Charges Dismissed-Improper Automobile Stop

The Circuit Court for Cecil County, Maryland granted my motion to supress evidence involving an automobile stop and search resulting in the discovery of a large quanity of herion and crack cocaine. The stop of the automobile was based upon a police undercover investigation; however, the court ruled that the stop of the automobile was based upon information from a person involved in the "drug trade" and the State had failed to show that this person was reliable and that there was no independent observation of the alleged "buy" from my client. Accordingly, the evidence was supressed. All cases are different based upon the facts of the case and the result in one case does not guarantee the same result in another.
