Tina Harris Gets Armed Robbery Charges Reduce d to Second Degree Assault and Theft
August 2019
A client accused of armed robbery and lesser included offenses was acquitted of all felony charges and found guilty of second degree assault and theft under $100 following a three day trial. His conviction, however, was overturned and remanded for a new trial. Ms. Harris correctly objected to the State's removal of black jurors from the jury, and the appellate court agreed that the client was entitled to a new trial.
