Client was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Narcotics, Illegal possession of a firearm and use of a firearm in connection with a drug trafficking crime. Following a three day trial, the client was acquitted of all drug charges, and the jury was hung on the gun-related charges. The client was convicted of illegal transport of a firearm and received a sentence of 6 months home detention with work privileges. The charges resulting in mistrial were dropped, including two charges that could have resulted in mandatory minimum sentences of five years each.
