Judge Baker was very fair to both the State and defense and he understood the concept of reasonable doubt. He will still be sitting on a limited basis as a retired judge but will be missed.

Judge Whelan's term ended in January, 2016 in the Circuit Court due to mandatory age retirement. He was also very fair and applied the law. As a criminal lawyer, if the law and facts were on your side he would rule in your favor. You can't ask for anything more form a judge but repeat offenders have found out how harsh he could be!!!
